38 weeks, 14 days until eviction day!

38 weeks! time has gone by fast!

Updates from last time:
1: We are still pregnant!
2: We had maternity pictures taken and they turned out really cute, I only have 2 back for a preview so far! They were taken by Ryan Tutino Photography at a local park. We cant wait to see the rest! She will also be doign our newborn photos once baby girl is here, so excited for newborn photos!

3: My house is progressively getting deep cleaned 1 little chore at a time
4: Everything looked really good at the 37 week appointment. Baby is healthy, my body is prepping for labor better than we expected, and there is hope that i wont go into post dates! yay!
5: our garden apparently thinks that september is the month for every tomato to turn red.... weird but we have lots of tomatoes!

6: Kaya is still a monster, but she has been well behaved lately and we are grateful for that

So what are we doing to get this baby out....
well i ate eggplant and pineapple. both of which they say will put you in labor. Ive been walking and taking evening primrose oil (which helps to soften your cervix). Today im planning to make labor inducing cookies. Hopefully all of these things eventually lead to a baby! But i also fully understand that she will come when she wants.

Now for the weekly Stats!
How many weeks: 38 weeks and 2 days today.
This week baby is...... about 19-20 inches?? who really knows at this point.
This week our baby weighs..... well this is a big question as always. When i had my last appointment at 37 weeks and 3 days my doctor scanned her at 8lbs, which is the 90th percentile. thats a little larger than we had measured her before. And of course measurements are always give or take a pound. He said he thinks if anything she is smaller than 8 lbs. Hopefully we find out soon!! either way we have a very healthy baby!
This week  baby girl....Is settling in for the trip out! She is running out of room and moving less (there isnt any room for her to do much except roll around a little here and there). She should be moving lower and lower each day, which gives me more room to breath. yay! But contributes to that wonderful end of pregnancy waddle that we all know so well. (Im not enthused with my waddle walking these days).
 Boy or girl? GIRL!!!
Total weight gain/ loss: +30-35 ish. Hopefully we stay about right here.
Showing: yep
Maternity Clothes: Definitely in maternity clothes now.
Best moment this week: the best moments of this week have been all about anticipation. Brad told me the other day "im a little creeped out by this hospital bag business". which i thought was very funny. And he now proceeds to text me everyday asking if i am in labor yet. Daddy is getting excited!!
I have had some contractions ( at least i think i have) but nothing that is enough to be real labor. But hey those little ones help too..
Food cravings: nothing, im just trying to avoid junk food.
Miss anything?: Sushi!! beer and wine! everything else i have seemed to find an adequate substitute for but nothing can replace sushi!
Anything making you sick: still a little heartburn here and there. and of course the crappy sleeping.
Pregnancy symptoms: third trimester tiredness....... the tired is horrible lately. After i work 2 days in a row it takes me at least one full day of doing nothing to recover and then i end up being way less productive than i wanted. But things are getting done a little at a time. Lately ive just been focusing on cleaning house and schoolwork.
Gender prediction: It's a Girl!
We call our baby:  Adrienne Elizabeth Gochnauer is her name!
Looking forward to: Having a baby girl! hopefully sooner rather than later! And maybe going to the puyallup fair this weekend, if we arent having a baby.

Until Next Week,
Shyla

36 weeks, 28 days until Adrienne's due date!

Last week we did a few really exciting things. Brad celebrated the wedding of his childhood friend Zach in Scappoose and spent a little bit of time with his family ( i stayed home due to night shift). And my mom visited me to have pedicures and do a massage. It was nice to have my mom here, the massage was relaxing and we spent some time shopping/ hanging curtains in the nursery and picking out things for the office.

Annette, maddie, myself, and my mom enjoyed pedicures together which was well worth 27 dollars at 35+ weeks pregnant! It was very relaxing and enjoyable.
We visited some friends and family in CleElum for a day trip. Kaya had a lot of fun swimming in the lake and brad and I enjoyed seeing all of our friends that we hadnt seen in a few months. Adrienne moved around and had the hiccups for people to feel and it was definitely nice.

and for my personal milestone of the week i finished my first set of assignments for my masters degree and got A's, so we are off to a good start!

Now for the weekly Stats!
How many weeks: 36 weeks and 5 days today.
This week baby is...... about 19 inches.
This week our baby weighs..... 6.5- 6.75 Lbs. maybe even 7, who knows at this point?  Her weight was estimated at 5lb 15 oz at the 34 week appointment. roughly 76th percentile. She is right on track to be an 8ish LB baby. That is unless we actually go to 40 or 41 weeks then she could be bigger.... who knows. Measurements are done based on femur length so we could have a tall baby that is charting bigger because her legs are long?? or just an overall big baby? i guess we will find out in a few weeks.
This week  baby girl.....Is still growing fast! Her lungs are now functional! Although, she really should stay put for at least 1 more week in my opinion. She can now turn and lift her head. Miss Adrienne just needs to focus on gaining weight at this point!
 Boy or girl? GIRL!!!
Total weight gain/ loss: +30 ish. Hopefully we stay about right here.
Showing: yep
Maternity Clothes: Definitely in maternity clothes now.
Best moment this week: Baby moved in response to daddy touching belly, music on the radio, and kaya barking. Its really cool to see her movements correlate with stimulation now!
Food cravings: nothing, my appetite is slowly diminishing.
Miss anything?: Sushi!!everything else i have seemed to find an adequate substitute for but nothing can replace sushi!
Anything making you sick: Heartburn all the time.
Pregnancy symptoms: third trimester tiredness, insomnia, and heartburn continue. The tired is still pretty brad sometimes, but we are back on day shift and finally able to catch up on sleep on my days off! It feels nice.
Movement: yep. She moves around like crazy all the time. Her head was still down and sitting pretty low at 34 weeks. She just needs to stay put and work on moving that head down to put some pressure on my cervix.
Gender prediction: It's a Girl!
We call our baby:  Adrienne Elizabeth Gochnauer is her name!
Looking forward to: 37 weeks and a term baby on monday!

Until Next Week,
Shyla
